We are proud to announce that Pitt Meadows Plumbing (PMP) was awarded the Digital Supply Chain and Fabrication Award at the 10th Innovation Spotlight Awards, hosted by Building Transformations on December 5th in Toronto.

This award recognizes our groundbreaking collaboration with Novarc Technologies to integrate advanced AI-driven welding solutions, specifically the NovEye Autonomy Gen 2 System, into our prefabrication processes. By participating in the beta testing and refinement of this system, PMP has contributed to the development of a tool that enables welders of all skill levels to achieve x-ray quality welds. This innovation has helped us address the skilled labour shortage while enhancing precision and consistency in fabrication, setting a new industry benchmark for integrating cutting-edge technology in traditional trades.

Our approach, rooted in industrialized construction principles, demonstrates the power of collaboration between technology providers and contractors to redefine construction workflows. The award celebrates not just the successful implementation of advanced tools but also the broader cultural shift toward leveraging technology to meet the demands of modern construction.

Debra Hadden, representing Novarc Technologies, graciously accepted the award on our behalf. The award was presented by Adelina Scott, Senior Corporate Integrated Construction Technology Manager for PCL Construction—a true testament to the collective industry recognition of the innovation driving our sector forward.

A huge thank you to Building Transformations for this honour and for showcasing the remarkable work being done across the construction industry. This award reflects the dedication of our entire team and our partners in pushing the boundaries of what is possible in digital construction and fabrication.
